About Us
In 2006 Linwood Roberson Florist, Denton's oldest flower shop,
bought out Joe Alford Florist, Denton's second oldest flower shop,
creating Linwood Roberson - Joe Alford Florist.
Seeing as that is way too much to say, we shortened our name to
Linwood - Alford Florist!

We have been serving Denton and our surrounding communities
from the same location on Carroll & Hickory Street since
Linwood Roberson Florist was first founded in 1950!

Linwood-Alford Florist has consistantly ranked in the
Top 1000 of all Teleflora and FTD florists across the nation.
Our owner, Warren Hooper, is a 4th generation florist and is the 3rd
generation in his family to own and run the flower shop. Mr. Hooper,
after growing up working in the flower shop and helping to run it
with his family, bought his family out in 2003 allowing his parents
to retire. Mr. Hooper went on to successfully merge with
and buy out Joe Alford Florist in 2006.

In October 2008, Mr. Hooper decided to convert a large
underused space in the florist building to open OXIDE Gallery,
a retail art gallery dedicated to featuring the talented artists living in
Denton County and the North Texas area.

Linwood - Alford Florist remains Denton's oldest florist still in
business due to their high standards of quality and their constant striving
not only to create beautiful floral gifts in the current design styles,
but to merge the best features of current styles with the elegance
and classic features of past styles.
